Why buy from us.
All our members are talented artists - care and skill have gone into each and every work for sale on this site. We are sure you will be delighted with anything you buy from us.
No middlemen
All sales go straight through to the artist - every penny. We share costs and other expenses as a group, not by taking commission.
Help us grow
As we become more successful as a group, the more we can become involved in marketing and promotion, and the more we can devote to other activities promoting the arts in our local community. This in turn means that art bought from us may become more sought after and, in some cases, collectible. Many people will buy from us because they are drawn to a piece, however some will appreciate that their art may become an asset in more ways than one.
Buying art is safe and easy
All purchase agreements are made directly with the artist. Buyers can either send an enquiry direct from our site (in which case a copy will be sent to our files so we have a record of the initial enquiry) or use the artist's contact details listed on their gallery page to get in touch.
All purchases are covered under the Distance Selling Regulations: consumers have the right to return items within 7 working days from receipt, as well as other assurances listed in the full regulations here. Please note that specially commissioned work is treated differently by the regulations.
We take our reputation and commitment to the buyer very seriously, and want your buying experience to be pleasant and hassle free. Should there be any issues we will work with both parties to resolve them as quickly and fairly as possible. You can contact us here or call on 01929 424026 if you want to get in touch.
Ordering and payment
To order any artworks listed for immediate sale please use any of the contact methods to get in touch directly with the artist. If you use the feedback form on the artist's gallery page we will have a copy of your enquiry for our records.
Items that are listed as samples of commissions serve as examples of the type and quality of work that may be enquired after. Commissioning work will involve discussion between the buyer and the artist, and be transacted according to terms agreed by both parties. Please note that commissioned items can not be refunded unless clearly stated otherwise by the artist, and we are not responsible for the terms of the agreement entered into.
Shipping
Our artists use industry standard shipping for their work. We ask that all artists agree to:
- Pay all shipping and handling costs
- Package and ship in accordance with shipping industry standards for item shipped. Shipping shall be done using certified mail or other approved shipping methods (Fed Ex, UPS, etc.) that provide for tracking and/or require a delivery signature.
- Be responsible for damage to artwork caused from improperly packaging of item (framed work etc.).
- Insure all artwork for its purchase price
- Not deliver any artwork by COD
Returns and refunds
We want everyone to be happy with their purchase and will swiftly resolve genuine issues, including refunding all costs or offering like for like replacements. If there is any breakage in the post or other case of 'goods not as advertised' we will take steps immediately to arrange a full refund/replacement.
Customers are also covered under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, which allows for a 7 day 'cooling off' period for all goods bought over the internet
We do not feel that problems arising from the buyer changing their mind or making an ill considered purchase are reasonable grounds for our artists to incur extra costs, in these cases the customer will be liable for return shipping costs.
If you are not happy with your purchase please contact the artist using the contact form on their gallery page (thereby forwarding us a copy of your message so we can be aware of the issue) stating your reasons for dissatisfaction.
